Pricing

Nature Publishing Group Language Editing (NPG Language Editing) offers premium quality, English-language editing at competitive prices. Our Gold and Silver pricing schemes are fixed based on the word count and desired turnaround time, so it is clear before you upload your manuscript how much the service will cost.

Currency

All prices are in US dollars. You will be charged in your local currency at the exchange rate on the day your payment is made.

Turnaround time

We count all calendar days, not business days, for the turnaround time so weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays are included. For example, if you upload a paper on Thursday at 7:00 PM with a 3-day turnaround, your manuscript would be completed by Sunday at 7:00 PM.

Discounts

NPG Language Editing provides a number of opportunities to earn discounts on your manuscripts:

  • Authors receive a 10% referral coupon, which is a one-time coupon awarded for referring a colleague who uses the service
  • For information on volume discounts for members of the same faculty or research group, please go to universities and institutions.

Payment options

We accept payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and Discover), PayPal and purchase order (wire transfer). There is no surcharge for paying via PayPal or credit card; however, if you pay a purchase order via a wire transfer, a charge of $25 is added by the receiving bank. All the information necessary to make your purchase order payment is included on your invoice when you upload your manuscript.

Invoices

We understand that many of our customers will seek reimbursement from their institution. In order to speed the process along, NPG Language Editing offers online invoices that are available to download or print. You will be able to view your printable invoice online the moment you upload your article. Invoices for all previous and current manuscripts from the past 2 years can be accessed through your online account: simply login and select 'View recent history'. From there you can view and print all of your invoices. We do not send out paper invoices.

My NPG Language Editing funds

The 'my NPG Language Editing funds' function allows you to add funds to your NPG Language Editing account at any time and to use these funds to pay for future manuscripts uploaded for editing. Funds can be added to your NPG Language Editing account using your credit card or with a purchase order via a bank wire transfer. After adding funds, you can choose the 'my NPG Language Editing funds' option to pay for your manuscript instead of the credit card or purchase order options. The cost of your manuscript will appear as a debit from your NPG Language Editing account balance.

You may want to add funds for many reasons. For example, if you have $1,000 left in your research budget and these funds will expire soon, you can add that $1,000 to your NPG Language Editing account and use those funds to cover the cost of editing your next several manuscripts through NPG Language Editing. Your NPG Language Editing funds will never expire, so funds you add today can be used for the editing services you will need next week...or next year! Another reason is to avoid multiple bank wire transfer fees if you are making purchase order payments. Just make one large purchase order and transfer funds into your NPG Language Editing account. Then you can use the NPG Language Editing funds to pay for several manuscripts without having to pay the $25 purchase order surcharge every time.

Note for purchase orders: Because the 'my NPG Language Editing funds' function is designed for larger deposits, funds added to your NPG Language Editing account using a purchase order will only be available for use once the purchase order has been paid through a wire transfer. When we receive payment, the funds will be shown as 'Available'. Deposits made using a credit card show as 'Available' immediately. If you need to use a purchase order for a manuscript and you want to upload your document without waiting for the funds to become available in your NPG Language Editing account, just choose the regular 'Purchase order' option under 'Payment method' when uploading your manuscript.
